Went for a little outdoor run near Detroit today at the lower Huron park. Farthest outdoor run I have had in forever and it went well. Probably had something to do with the lack of hills. Was a little tight after the two hour drive that followed.

7 easy miles - 70:35 - 10:00 Pace
Took the run really slow today trying to get my 8-9 miles in. Legs and lungs felt good, I just ran out of energy. That hasn't happened on a slow run shorter that 15 miles...ever. Concerning...maybe. Disaterous...not at all. I'll get a short outdoor run in Saturday and be ready to get a longer run in next week.

Waiting till Sunday to run cause my calves were feeling a little tight since my last run. Also ran on the treadmill for the same reason. They felt ok today, not great not awful. Everything else felt good.

Morning was a little tough on me today, body didn't want to cooperate. I got through the milage bit it wasn't encouraging milage. Calves were sore, knee was achy, I just have to face facts that neither of those is going away. Well, I'm traveling the rest if the week so I'll give the legs a little rest and hopefully a lot of sleeping.

Long run today, 8 miles, bumped up the distance from the last long run. Felt really good, only problem was my foot started hurting on the bottom. Hopefully that's not creeping into my running now. We shall see Wednesday morning how it feels.

I always forget how much different it is running on hills. I made the 4 miles easier than I have lately, but still. One huge bonus is that my calves felt great, can't remember the last outdoor run I had where I wasn't worried they were gonna snap. Is it the stretching, the slow increase in miles, the inserts....while I am always looking for a silver bullet, I'm sure it's a combo of all of those. Either way it feels good

Didn't think I would have too much in the tank today after all the activity I got in D.C., but I felt great. I had a few bruises from rafting bothering me, but not stopping me.
